Work Solution

Why We Exist

We exist to help people, families, and communities thrive through the power of relationships, education and work.

Across our tristate region, too many people face barriers that make stability feel out of reach. A missed educational opportunity. A job market that feels closed off. Life circumstances that interrupt plans and confidence.

Evansville Goodwill exists to help remove those barriers and replace them with pathways forward. Not through quick fixes, but through long-term investment in people and community.

How Good Becomes Opportunity

Our thrift stores are more than places to donate and shop. They are the engine that powers our mission.

When you donate goods, shop with purpose, or support our work, that generosity stays local. It funds free education programs like The Excel Center Evansville Southeast, workforce services like The Opportunity Center, and support systems designed around real community needs.

This is the Cycle of Good and it starts with you, but it doesn’t end here.

How Goodwill Works

Goodwill is not a single, centralized organization.

Goodwill is a network of independent, locally governed nonprofits, each responsible for serving the unique needs of its own community. While we share a common mission and values, every Goodwill operates independently, with local leadership, local boards, and local decision-making.

That’s why Goodwills may look different from one another.
Policies may vary.
Programs may differ.
And services are shaped by local needs.

This structure allows each Goodwill to respond thoughtfully and responsibly to the community it serves, while remaining connected to a larger movement rooted in dignity, work, and opportunity.

Connie Ralph
Welcome Neighbor!
Goodwill has always meant more to me than a place to donate or shop. At its best, Goodwill is a promise, a promise that people matter, that potential is worth investing in, and that communities are strongest when we show up for one another.

Every day, I have the privilege of witnessing the Cycle of Good in action. I see it when someone walks across the stage to receive a high school diploma they once believed was out of reach. I see it when a job seeker gains confidence, skills, and a second chance. I see it in the quiet moments of generosity that happen when someone donates a bag of clothes or chooses to shop with purpose.

What makes Evansville Goodwill special isn’t just what we do. It’s  who we do it with.

This work is powered by donors, shoppers, partners, team members, and advocates who believe in something bigger than themselves. Because of you, opportunity exists. Because of you, people thrive. Thank you for being part of this community and for believing in the power of good, done together.

With gratitude, Connie Ralph Signature Connie Ralph President & CEO Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc.
Rooted in our Community. Focused on the Future.
Founded in 1935, Evansville Goodwill has grown alongside the communities we serve.

While our programs and services have evolved, our commitment has remained the same: to meet people where they are and walk with them toward what’s next.

As needs change, we listen. As challenges emerge, we adapt. And as opportunities grow, we grow with them.

Evansville Goodwill is built on the belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive. When you support or join the Cycle of Good, you’re not just supporting an organization. You’re standing with your neighbors and helping build a stronger community for all.
